Coping With Stress

Numerous folk around the globe battle stress on a daily basis. While university goers deal with stress because of a pressurizing education system, the working class has to deal with everyday work stress. There are only a select few who are not stressed out. However, the issue is not as difficult to deal with as it is made to be. In reality you can deal with the issue in very simple ways. These are some simple but effective ways to manage stress.

One of the simplest things that you can do to keep stress at bay is start organizing yourself. These days, people are living an extremely fast life, consistently rushing through things. As a result, people are compelled to do more than only one thing at the same time which is bound to lead to stress. Instead, sort yourself and do one thing at a time.

2nd , always have time for relaxation. Experts who have worked on stress-related issues believe that all work and no relaxation will induce stress in a person. Workaholics are often known to suffer from stress. They do one thing after another and give themselves little time to chill. It is essential to take a while out to sit and relax as it’ll help you rejuvenate.

Third, regular exercise helps control stress. Exercise is a good stress-buster. Exercise should be done according to one’s capability and doesn’t definitely mean pumping iron in the gym. The golden rule in exercise is ‘from each according to his capacity’. One should understand that in exercising one isn’t competing for a body-building event. Light exercises to keep oneself fit is sufficient.

The 4th thing that you can do for effective anxiety control is problem identification. Try to figure out what’s bothering you and how you can resolve the issue. If you have too many issues troubling you simultaneously, then sort your problems in the order of importance they deserve.

Fifth thing is to attack the stress inducing factor in a systematic manner. Start by making an attempt to dump the most and the least stress inducing factor at once. This would help you take care of problem at hand and ensure that new problems don’t arise to cause more stress. Gradually move inward on your list from both sides.

Changing your diet is another important thing that you can do to ward off stress. There are specific foods that will raise your overall levels of stress. Some of these foods include caffeine, foods that are loaded in sugar, processed foods like chips, nachos and other snacks etc. Instead, go in for food that’s low in calories and cholesterol.

Finally you need to sleep. Sleeping for at least 7-8 hours in summer and 6-7 hours in winter is mandatory for everybody, more so, if you are in the process of stress management.
